What is PokéVersus?
PokéVersus is a free online arena brawler played in the browser on PC or mobile. Players select Pokémon and compete in short 3v3 matches in a style similar to Brawl Stars. Pokémon gain experience during battles and can evolve mid-match.
How to play PokéVersus
- Open the game in a browser at the itch.io page or pokeversus.com. No download is required.
- Choose a Pokémon from the available roster. Each has its own basic attack and super move.
- Join or create a match. Create a private room, share the code with friends, or play with bots that fill empty slots.
- Control your Pokémon with the available inputs. On PC use WASD to move, the mouse to aim, left click to attack, and right click or E for the super move. On mobile use twin-stick touch controls.
- Fight according to the selected game mode while collecting experience. Watch for mid-match evolutions that change your Pokémon’s form and abilities.
- Complete the match objective, then review results, rankings, or progress on daily missions and other systems.
Game modes and core features
The game includes five modes:
- Catch Pokéballs: Collect 10 Pokéballs and survive the final countdown.
- Toxic Fog: A 10-player battle royale where the last player standing wins.
- Wake up Snorlax: Protect your team’s sleeping Snorlax while trying to wake the opposing one first.
- Voltorball: A soccer-style mode with a Voltorb that explodes if held too long.
- Territory: Hold a designated zone with your team.
The roster covers 490 Pokémon from every generation, including legendaries. Additional systems include Pokéball chests, a season pass, daily missions, achievements, trophies, shiny skins, rankings, friends lists, and clans with chat. The interface supports six languages: English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, and Italian.
Tips and notes
Matches are short, typically lasting a few minutes, which suits quick sessions. Bots keep queues moving when rooms are not full. Progress and accounts carry over between the itch.io version and pokeversus.com.
